Business Development Capture Manager

Primary Purpose

Experienced and aggressive Senior Capture Manager needed to lead the acquisition process effort for all business development opportunities. You will be responsible for strategic capture efforts with Federal and State Government clients as well as with clients in the private sector. This includes developing and implementing the capture plan as well as managing all aspects of the capture process from target identification through contract award.

Must be telework ready. All work conducted concerning the requirement must be performed within the United States and its territories.

  • Identify, research and analyze prospective customers and support partners and prioritize based on strategic importance, likelihood of success and profitability.

  • Assemble and manage the capture team and assign responsibilities based on strengths and prior effectiveness.

  • Lead development and implementation of Capture Plan.

  • Coordinate and manage the proposal and bidding process.

  • Expand client base while growing relationships with existing clients to gain access to as many opportunities as possible.

  • Keep senior management and stakeholders aware of capture plans at pre-determined milestones in the process.

  • Engage with key players and decision makers both internally and within accounts supported to get the most out of every relationship.

  • Minimum of 10 years selling and delivering consulting services including at least 7 years specialized in the federal government market.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field.

  • Leadership and management skills required to develop and execute capture activities for several targets simultaneously.

  • Proven and extensive track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities.

  • Established professional network of potential federal government business partners and service providers.

  • Expert level understanding of price-to-win analysis required to establish effective price-to-win targets.

  • Understanding of federal capture roles, processes and regulations.

  • Superior organization and time management skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Successful history managing the transition from potential business opportunity to proposal and reward.

  • Ability to clearly communicate responsibilities and timelines both internally and to potential and existing customers.
