Federal Audit Consultant, Controls and Coordinated Section (FRB)

Primary Purpose

DJS Consulting Group is looking for thoughtful, analytical, high energy, and detailed individuals to join our Government & Public Sector team for the DEA. We need a self-driven Federal Audit Consultant with a proven history of proactively and holistically supporting federal audit engagements.

Requirements 
  • Performs assigned tasks under direction of team leadership.
     

  • Attend meetings as needed, participating in team collaboration to ensure project completion.
     

  • Review General Terms and Conditions (GT&Cs) and order agreements with Federal entities to determine if transactions need to use G-Invoicing.
     

  • Work with Federal partners to determine proper G-Invoicing settings.
     

  • Route agreements for approvals within DEA.
     

  • Record GT&Cs and orders in G-Invoicing and the financial management system.
     

  • Make recommendations to improve efficiencies in the DEA G-Invoicing process.
     

  • Perform reconciliations for current and prior year agreements within G-Invoicing and the financial management system.
     

  • Monitor G-Invoicing and related financial system transactions on a continuous basis to ensure compliance with policy and new business processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; accounting/finance preferred.
     

  • Knowledge of federal fund accounting principles, appropriations law, and budget execution.
     

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in federal financial management.
     

  • Experience in federal financial operations, preferably budget execution and/or interagency agreements.
     

  • Knowledge and experience related to automated financial management systems, including accounting and budget systems used by federal agencies, preferably Momentum Financial Systems.
     

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
     

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
     

  • Self-motivated.
     

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Software, i.e., Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
